Dr. David M. Vesco, was born and received at the age of 20 his medical degree from Bulgaria. Dr. Vesco was the first medical doctor to develop a correlation between Hyperbaric Chamber Oxygenation and pre and post stroke victims. In 1980, Dr. Vesco immigrated to the United States where he started as a self-contracting individual medical tutor and in 1986 was granted U.S. Citizenship along with the personal recognition and address by President Ronald Reagan for receiving some of the highest marks after taking his meds.(November 24, 1986, The White House).

Dr. Vesco was called to professorship in the Universities of Michigan and California. His professional qualifications represent an impressive array of scientific, business, educational, teaching achievements and academicAppointments. Some of these were recognized in the form of two, congressional and senatorial (Congressional Record, Vol. 133, No. 202, December 18, 1987; State of Michigan, Senate Resolution No. 236, June 16, 1987) awards and a California States Assembly Recognition (October 31, 2001) pertaining to his contributions to medicine and business in the United States of America.

Dr Vesco authored and co-authored several books, including a Textbook of Neurology. Former and current professional titles include University Professor; Treating Physician; Medical Director; Founder and President of Canyon Medical Center and Urgent Care. Dr. Vesco coined the term “antioxidant” in his first consumers product dubbed “Prospera” in early 80’s, sold in Kmart since 1994, the focus of Dr. Vesco’s research has been upon the topical application of bioflavonoids, specifically the catechins. He invented, tested various methods and formulae that laid the foundation of the whole new generation of skincare products.

Dr.Vesco’s discoveries of the natural existing dermatological phenomena, “Dermal Density Factor” and “Oxidative Modification of Skin’s Proteins”, inter alia, are the basis for his revolutionary concept, which is now the most effective holistic skincare approach backed by independent studies from various U.S. Universities.

He was the first in the World to produce commercially viable catechin active emollient. In 2000, Dr. Vesco found the American Catechin Research Institute & Laboratory where he invented scientifically advanced methods for both therapeutic and cosmetic catechin based skin care. His Dermal Density Factor skincare concept and topical Catechin-Active compositions are described in several applications for U.S. patents. In a 2003 conclusive study, it was determined that topical application of catechins prevents sun–induced skin malignancies, including melanoma. Leaving ACRI in 2006.

Dr. Vesco along with partner Earl Gordon have currently formed Canyon-AIMS Research Lab, where they are presently developing an isolation of mesenchymal stem cells from adipose tissue—this will lead to a novel, patentable enrichment strategy for MSCs and supportive cells for use in a variety of therapeutic applications.
